Sümeyra or Sümeyra Çakır (* 25. May 1946 in Edirne; † 5. February 1990 in Frankfurt am Main), a turkish singer and saz player was an interpreter of popular ballads.

She learned and performed with Ruhi Su and studies the musical heritage of Turkish popular music. Until the military coup of Sept. 12th, 1980 she lead the Choir of Turkish metal workers union. When the union was banned she was forced to emigrate, living in Germany until her death.

She died only 44 years old.
